John Wagenaar, a gentle but brave soul and lover of all living creatures, has earned the honorable title as Africa's TIGERMAN through his unequiled passion, love and dedication to the preservation and conservation of BIG CATS - especially the world's largest, most feared but also less understood BIG CAT: the magnificent TIGER.

John has been working with wild animals, particularly BIG CATS, for all of his adult life. However, his great passion for tigers started with Alice, a beautiful female Bengal tiger which he has raised from birth. Alice stole his heart, his mind, his life and made him part of her life.

Tigerman has just moved to a new game reserve near Loskop dam, South Africa, where he is starting a new bigcat training programme for tigers and lions.
